‘Research Excellence Awards 2025’ Organised at MIET, Meerut

Over 45 Faculty Members and Researchers Honoured for Publishing in Prestigious SCI and Scopus Journals

Meerut: The Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Meerut, hosted the prestigious ‘Research Excellence Awards 2025’ to honour faculty members and researchers who have significantly contributed to academic excellence by publishing high-quality research papers in globally acclaimed SCI (Science Citation Index) and Scopus-indexed journals.

The grand award ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Mr. A.C. Mathur, former Group Director, Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and Dr. Sharad Chandra Sharma, former Associate Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (ISRO), Thiruvananthapuram. They, along with MIET Chairman Mr. Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Mr. Puneet Agarwal, and Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Singh, felicitated the awardees with certificates of appreciation and mementoes.

In total, more than 45 researchers from various departments were recognised for their outstanding research contributions. Their work has not only elevated the academic standing of the institution but also contributed meaningfully to global scientific and technological progress.

The event was successfully coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Hussain Mehdi, Assistant Dean (Research), with key support from Dr. Shivani Rohilla. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mehdi remarked,
“These awards not only recognise the relentless efforts of our researchers but also aim to foster a vibrant research culture within the institution.”

All awardees received formal certificates and symbolic mementoes as a mark of recognition for their academic excellence.

The Research Excellence Awards 2025 reflects MIET’s strong commitment to promoting research-driven education and nurturing a culture of innovation, aligning with the vision of making India a global hub of knowledge and technology.
