Indraprastha Engineering College Holds Convocation: 571 Graduates Honored

Convocation Ceremony at Indraprastha Engineering College: 571 Graduates Awarded Degrees, Vice-Chancellor Emphasizes Self-Development



Sahibabad: A grand convocation ceremony was held at Indraprastha Engineering College, Sahibabad, on Friday, marking the institution's Silver Jubilee year. A total of 571 students were awarded degrees, with the ceremony graced by the presence of Dr. J.P. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, who delivered an inspiring message on self-development and technological innovation.

The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Dr. J.P. Pandey, Director of Government Engineering College Banda Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Shukla, College Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Director Dr. Ajay Kumar, Akanksha Agarwal, and Registrar Dr. Pankaj Rana.

In his keynote address, Dr. Pandey emphasized the importance of self-development, decision-making skills, and continuous technological advancement. Citing the first verse of the Bhagavad Gita, he highlighted the need to face life’s challenges with courage and determination. Using Artificial Intelligence as an example, he urged students to stay updated with new technologies, ensuring they are prepared to contribute to India’s vision for 2047.

Degrees were conferred on students from six branches of B.Tech — Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Information Technology. The top three students in each branch were honored with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, making a total of six Gold, six Silver, and six Bronze medals awarded.

Among the B.Tech 2024 batch, 250 students achieved First Class with Distinction, 270 secured First Class, and three students were awarded Honors. The ceremony witnessed the presence of prominent faculty members and officials from the college.
