Sahibabad: Indraprastha Engineering College, Sahibabad, is set to host a grand convocation ceremony on Friday as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations. The event will honor the graduating B.Tech batch of 2024, affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow.
A total of 571 students will be awarded degrees during the ceremony. The chief guest for the event will be Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of AKTU, who will confer the degrees upon the graduates.
According to the college director, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, degrees will be conferred across six engineering branches: Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Information Technology.
As a mark of academic excellence, the top three students from each branch will be awarded medals. In total, three gold, three silver, and three bronze medals will be distributed to the highest-ranking students.
Notably, 250 students have graduated with First Division with Distinction, while 270 students secured First Division. Additionally, three students have been awarded with Honors.
The institution has made elaborate arrangements to make the convocation ceremony a memorable milestone in its 25-year legacy.
