Meerut: Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) organized a special awareness session on higher education opportunities in Italy for students, as well as principals and counsellors from various schools across the region. The programme featured representatives from Uni-Italia, the official body supported by the Embassy of Italy in India.
The session began with an engaging interaction led by Ruby Thomas, Associate at Uni-Italia, who apprised students of academic prospects in Italy and emphasized the growing importance of global exposure in today’s education landscape.
This was followed by a detailed interaction with school principals and counsellors by Arkaprabha Biswas, Coordinator of Uni-Italia Offices in India, and Ms. Rosella, Italian Language Coordinator. Among those present were Amit Kohli, Principal of Rhombus Public School; Roopal Rastogi, Principal of KD International School; Ranjeet Singh, Principal of New Era International School; and Muniram Yadav.
During the session, the Uni-Italia representatives highlighted the relevance of studying in Italy in the current global geopolitical scenario and shared insights into the wide range of academic opportunities available for Indian students. They also provided practical guidance on application procedures, required documentation, and key considerations for pursuing higher education in Italy.
The team further stressed the importance of promoting the Italian language in India and encouraged schools to raise awareness among students about the academic and cultural prospects Italy has to offer.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Director Dr. K.L.A. Khan, Principal Dr. Himanshu Sharma, HOD Dr. Sapna Deshwal, and Outreach Head Shikha Chauhan, with valuable contributions from Ritima and Sumit Rana.
