Meerut: MIET Public School, located on Mawana Road, hosted a grand Felicitation and Scholarship Distribution Ceremony on Saturday to honour its meritorious students for their academic achievements. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony performed jointly by Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Director Ajay Bansal, Principal Dr. Rupali Sehgal, and Vice Principal Ekta Saxena.
Chairman Vishnu Sharan awarded scholarships worth ₹17,65,800 to outstanding students from Classes 10 and 12. Among the Class 12 toppers, Nehal Gaur from the Humanities stream scored 99%, securing the top position in the school and third rank in the district. Radhika Singh topped the Science stream with 98.6%, while Ritesh Arora led the Commerce stream with 97%. All three students were granted 100% scholarships.
In Class 10, Daksh Chaudhary topped with 98.6%, followed by Devansh Kumar with 97.8%, and Ishan Vikal with 97.6%. These top three performers were also awarded full scholarships and will receive free education at the institution.
The school administration further announced that any student from other schools who meets MIET's eligibility criteria and secures top marks in Class 10 will also be considered for fee concessions under the scholarship programme.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Vishnu Sharan said, "Academic marks are not the sole indicator of a student’s potential. Every child possesses some unique talent. It is the responsibility of parents to recognise and nurture that talent. At MIET, we strive to provide not only quality education but also instill strong values in our students, enabling them to make their families, society, and the nation proud."
The event concluded with the national anthem. Several dignitaries and faculty members including Sonika, Pooja, Annu, Ajay Chaudhary, and Nitin Bhatnagar were present on the occasion.
