Meerut: MIET Public School, Jagriti Vihar, witnessed a grand celebration on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. The event commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting by Chief Guest and Chairman, Mr. Vishnu Sharan, along with the school’s Principal, Dr. Silky Verma, who jointly unfurled the national flag and saluted the Tricolour.
Students presented an impressive march past, soulful patriotic songs, energetic dances, and impactful stage plays depicting the lives of martyrs. A moving play based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre stirred emotions among the audience. Group dances in vibrant tricolour attire, accompanied by live instrumental performances, further elevated the spirit of patriotism.
On this occasion, students who excelled in the Taekwondo Championship, CBSE Cluster, and SOF competitions were awarded certificates and medals. Taekwondo Coach Mr. Rohit was also felicitated for his contribution.
Chairman Mr. Vishnu Sharan, in his address, described the children as the future of the nation and emphasized the importance of empowering them to be strong and courageous. The program was anchored by Senior Coordinator Ms. Bulbul Chaudhary and concluded successfully with the collective efforts of the school staff.
