79th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Zeal at MIET




Meerut: The Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and national pride. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag by Chairman Mr. Vishnu Sharan and Director Dr. S.K. Singh, followed by the resonating strains of the National Anthem that filled the campus with a spirit of unity and patriotism.

The cultural programme commenced with a moving patriotic song by the students, evoking a deep sense of love for the nation. This was followed by stirring poetry recitations and energetic dance performances that highlighted the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and the significance of India’s independence. Each presentation received thunderous applause from the audience.

In his address, Chairman Mr. Vishnu Sharan emphasized that Independence Day is not merely a celebration, but a solemn remembrance of the sacrifices that secured India’s freedom. He urged students to actively contribute to nation-building while upholding Indian culture and values. Director Dr. S.K. Singh remarked that independence also reminds us of our responsibilities, and that through education, innovation, and strong moral values, the nation can achieve greater heights.

The event was coordinated by Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Honey Tomar, with effective anchoring by Artika. Among those present were Dean Academics Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Dean First Year Dr. Vineet Kumar, Media Head Ajay Chaudhary, System Administrator Dharmendra Sharma, and Akhil Gautam, along with other dignitaries.
