MIT Gears Up for Grand 79th Independence Day Celebrations

Cultural Extravaganza to Feature Patriotic Play ‘Operation Sindoor’ and Dance Performances



Meerut: Preparations are in full swing at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), Paratapur Bypass, for the 79th Independence Day celebrations. The campus is abuzz with patriotic fervour as students rehearse for the grand event, blending tradition, creativity, and national pride.

The highlights of the programme include a special theatrical performance based on Operation Sindoor, soulful patriotic songs, and a fusion of classical and contemporary dance forms. Programme convener Sonal Ahlawat shared that the event will commence with flag hoisting and the national anthem, followed by inspiring addresses from guests and cultural tributes to freedom fighters. The celebration aims to instil values of patriotism, unity, and social awareness among students.

According to organisers Ritima and Rupal, this year’s event will not only showcase cultural diversity but also serve as a meaningful platform to connect the youth with the nation’s history and the significance of freedom. Student coordinators Prakhar, Arzoo, Aishwarya, and Anshika are working tirelessly to ensure the success of the celebrations.

The campus atmosphere resonates with the spirit of freedom, filled with the sounds of patriotic songs and slogans, setting the tone for a memorable Independence Day.
