Addressing the gathering, SP Traffic Raghvendra Kumar Mishra emphasized that overspeeding and violation of traffic rules remain the primary causes of road accidents. He highlighted that over 5 lakh road accidents occur annually in India, resulting in nearly 1.8 lakh deaths. He further noted that Meerut alone recorded 397 road accidents in 2025, with a fatality rate of nearly 40 percent. He urged students to strictly adhere to traffic norms, use helmets and seat belts, and promote responsible driving habits.
As part of the programme, a Poster Making Competition on road safety was also organized, drawing participation from more than 100 students. Vasu Jain (BBA First Year) secured first place, followed by Khushi (B.Com First Year) in second place, while Mansi (BCA First Year) achieved third position. The winners were honoured with mementos and certificates by the Chief Guest.
The event witnessed active participation from students including Sakshi Ahluwalia, Roopal Chaudhary, Meenakshi Verma, Mansi Chaudhary, Shivalika, Shikha Chauhan, Tahreen, Pallavi, and Akhil Gautam.
