MIET Pharmacy Dept Organises Health Camp in Rampur Pavti, Promotes Preventive Care
The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and raise awareness about common health issues. Basic health screening services, including blood glucose and blood pressure (BP) checks, were provided to local residents. The exercise enabled early detection of conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, encouraging timely medical consultation and management.
Students also conducted awareness sessions on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, covering topics such as balanced diet, regular exercise, personal hygiene, and adherence to prescribed medication. Guidance was also provided on preventing and managing lifestyle-related diseases.
The camp received a positive response from the local community, with residents actively participating and appreciating the effort. The initiative not only provided practical exposure to students but also underscored the department’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
The department said it plans to continue organising such outreach programmes to contribute to building a healthier and more informed society.
