MIET Students Qualify for India Design Week 2026 Grand Finale


Meerut: Students of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) have achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for the Grand Finale of India Design Week 2026, organised by ICT Academy. The finale will be held on April 21–22 at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida.

The selected students include Namit Kamboj, Vishal Tyagi, Aditya Sharma, Parmjeet Saharawat, Nirbhay Lohia and Rudra Pratap Singh. Their innovative projects earned recognition at the national level, showcasing their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges.

Chairman Vishnu Sharan expressed happiness over the achievement, stating that it reflects the institution’s continuous efforts toward promoting quality education and innovation. Vice Chairmen Puneet Agarwal and Gaurav Agarwal congratulated the students and described the accomplishment as an inspiration for others.

Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Singh said that the institute remains committed to providing industry-oriented education. Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. (Dr.) Vipin Kumar Sharma, credited the success to the students’ dedication, structured training, and effective mentorship, while expressing confidence in their performance at the finale.

The achievement was guided by Shailendra Bhati and Dr. Rajesh Kumar Maurya, whose mentorship played a crucial role. The success highlights MIET’s focus on technical excellence, innovation, and skill development.
