Meerut: The School of Nursing at Shri Venkateshwara University organized a one-day national seminar on the theme “Establishing a Diverse Clinical Environment in Nursing: Challenges and Solutions.” The seminar witnessed participation from nursing experts from Lucknow, Gurugram, and Delhi, who deliberated on emerging challenges in the nursing sector and practical solutions in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
The program was inaugurated by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Krishna Kant Dave, Prof. Sambiyan N., Prof. Sakshi Gautam, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Senior Nursing Officer Pawan Kumar, Dean Nursing Dr. Anna Eric Brown, and other dignitaries through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, keynote speaker Prof. Sambiyan N. highlighted that the nursing sector offers immense career opportunities, especially for young women, and is considered a secure and respectable profession. However, he pointed out the significant gap between demand and supply in India’s healthcare system. He emphasized the need for advanced medical infrastructure and rapid emergency response systems, drawing comparisons with developed countries.
Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi stressed that in the rapidly evolving global landscape of Artificial Intelligence, nursing professionals must continuously upskill themselves to effectively tackle upcoming challenges. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Krishna Kant Dave underscored the institution’s excellence in training, placements, research, and innovation, describing the School of Nursing as a “Center of Excellence.”
The seminar also featured insightful addresses by Prof. Sakshi Gautam, Prof. Pramod Kumar, and Pawan Kumar. Dean Dr. Anna Eric Brown, along with university officials, honored the guests with mementos and bouquets.
The event was attended by Registrar Prof. Piyush Kumar Pandey, Dean Academics Dr. Rajesh Singh, Dr. Manjari Rana, Dr. Manish Kumar Sharma, Dr. Karuna Singh, and several faculty members, students, and staff of the university.
