- Nine-foot effigy symbolises the triumph of truth, righteousness and moral values
Meerut, October 18: MIET Group of Schools organised a Ravana Dahan programme on its campus to familiarise students with Indian culture, mythology and traditional festivities. A nine-foot effigy of Ravana was prepared for the occasion, conveying the message of the victory of good over evil and encouraging students to uphold truth, righteousness and ethical values.
The programme highlighted the cultural and moral significance of Dussehra, which symbolises the triumph of Lord Rama over Ravana and the victory of righteousness over evil. Students were encouraged to understand the deeper message of the festival and incorporate values such as honesty, discipline and integrity into their daily lives.
The initiative aimed to strengthen students’ connection with India’s rich cultural heritage and familiarise them with the significance of its mythological traditions. Such activities also provide an opportunity to impart moral lessons through experiential learning beyond the classroom.
MIET Group of Schools chairman Vishnu Sharan Agarwal, vice-chairman Gaurav Agarwal and manager Barkha Agarwal congratulated the students and extended their best wishes.
The event was attended by Rupali Sehgal, principal of the Mawana Road branch; Dr Silky Verma, principal of the Jagriti Vihar branch; and Navneet Chadha, principal of the Pallavpuram branch.
The programme concluded with a message that truth, righteousness and goodness ultimately prevail over arrogance and wrongdoing, reinforcing the enduring values associated with the festival of Dussehra.
