Sahibabad: In a significant move to enhance bilateral relations between India and Iceland in the fields of education, technology, and culture, Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indo-Icelandic Business Association (IIBA).
The MoU was formally signed by IPEC Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal and IIBA Chairman Prasoon Dewan during a special ceremony held at the college campus.
Prasoon Dewan, while addressing the gathering, highlighted that the Indo-Icelandic Business Association is recognized by both the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Government of Iceland. He emphasized that the partnership aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as education, technology, innovation, agriculture, and computer science.
“The MoU will facilitate student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, academic and cultural collaborations, and enhanced opportunities for employment and higher education. This collaboration will not only benefit the two institutions involved but also deepen the diplomatic and academic ties between India and Iceland,” Dewan said.
He further expressed optimism about launching quality-driven programs in collaboration with IPEC that would prepare students to compete on a global stage.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director of IPEC; Vibhuti Shankar, Vice President (International Relations); Vatsal Mehresh from IIBA, along with several faculty members and dignitaries.
The partnership is expected to pave the way for meaningful academic exchanges and collaborative research that will contribute to global knowledge-sharing and innovation.
