India-Iceland Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through Exchange of Technical Expertise
Meerut: In a move to elevate bilateral relations and promote educational and technological exchange, the Indo-Icelandic Business Association (IIBA) has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).The MoU was officially signed during a special ceremony by MIET Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal and IIBA Chairman Prasoon Dewan.
Prasoon Dewan stated that the Indo-Icelandic Business Association is recognized by both the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Government of Iceland. Under this agreement, India and Iceland will engage in academic, technical, and cultural exchanges involving both students and faculty. The collaboration is expected to positively impact both countries’ economies.
Dewan further emphasized that students of MIET will gain international exposure in Iceland, along with access to advanced employment and academic opportunities. Iceland, being at the forefront of innovation in fields like computer science and agriculture, will offer Indian students and educators a unique opportunity to experience cutting-edge technologies—ultimately strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The event was also attended by MIET Director Dr. S.K. Singh, Vice President (International Relations) Vibhuti Shankar, Vatsal Mehresh from IIBA, and several faculty members.
This partnership marks a step forward in creating global academic alliances and sharing technological expertise across borders.
