Meerut: The Department of Business Administration at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) has inaugurated a six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) under the aegis of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) through its ATAL Academy initiative. Scheduled from June 16 to June 21, 2025, the programme focuses on the theme “Emerging Trends in Financial Modelling”, aiming to enhance the analytical and modelling capabilities of faculty and researchers in the field of finance.
The inaugural session featured Alok Kumar, Associate Professor from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, as the keynote speaker. He provided a detailed overview of financial planning and statement analysis, emphasizing the use of contemporary tools and technologies for financial data modelling and interpretation.
In the second session, Naseem Akhtar, Assistant Professor at Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi, delivered a lecture on Financial Transaction Analysis. He simplified complex financial concepts with practical examples and addressed participant queries with clarity.
Around 50 participants from various colleges and universities across Delhi-NCR are attending the programme. On the occasion, MIT Chairman Vishnu Agrawal, Vice Chairman Puneet Agrawal, Director KLA Khan, and Principal Himanshu Sharma encouraged consistent participation and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to promoting academic enrichment through such initiatives.
Programme coordinator Ankur Goyal informed that upcoming sessions will feature a wide array of experts from academia and industry. Notable speakers include Abhinav Kataria (Christ University, Delhi-NCR), Sushil Kumar (Gargi College, University of Delhi), Rajinder Chittoria (Director, Froyo Technologies, Noida), Nikita Singhal (Associate Professor, IIMT University, Meerut), Ashish Kumar (Senior Divisional Manager, Star Health Insurance), Ankit Agrawal (Regional Finance Manager, Consers India, Noida), Anurag Mathur (TMU, Moradabad), and Narayan Dixit (Business Head, Reliance Group, Mumbai).
The programme also includes an industrial visit to the State Bank of India, Meerut Cantonment branch.
The FDP is jointly coordinated by Ankur Goyal and Ravindra Kumar, while faculty member Sakshi Ahluwalia extended a formal vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, speakers, and participants.
