Venkateshwara Group Chairman Sudhir Giri Honoured with ‘Medical Health Education Excellence Award–2025’

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari presents award at grand ceremony in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

New Delhi: Sudhir Giri, renowned educationist and Chairman of Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences and Multispeciality Hospital, has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Medical Health Education Excellence Award–2025’ for his outstanding contribution to medical education and healthcare services.

The award was presented by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, during a grand event held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswati by the Union Minister.

In his address, Nitin Gadkari praised Giri’s commitment to rural healthcare and medical education, highlighting the significant role of institutions like Venkateshwara in achieving the goals of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. “Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee, Indian talent today is focusing on strengthening the domestic economy rather than migrating abroad. Healthcare institutions will play a pivotal role in shaping a developed India. The exemplary services of Venkateshwara should inspire other institutions to contribute to national development,” Gadkari said.

Upon receiving the award, Sudhir Giri stated, “This honour is a source of inspiration to work with greater dedication. Venkateshwara Group remains committed to contributing to the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India, with the full support and effort of our team.”

Venkateshwara Group has been actively providing free medical care and quality education, especially to rural populations in Western Uttar Pradesh. The group’s efforts in uplifting underserved regions through healthcare and academic initiatives have earned widespread appreciation.

During the event, the university’s Pro-Chancellor and Group Chairman’s official representative, Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Krishnakant Dave, presented a detailed report highlighting the institution's achievements in the fields of education and healthcare.

The announcement of the award led to an outpouring of congratulations from across the academic and medical fraternity. Among those who extended greetings were Dr. V.P.S. Arora, R.S.
