Ajay Chaudhary elected as State Vice President of UPAJ

Meerut: The general assembly and executive committee meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Association of Journalists (UPAJ), affiliated with the National Union of Journalists India (NUJI), was held in Varanasi. Elections for various state-level positions were conducted unanimously during the session.

The event was graced by Suresh Sharma (National President, NUJI), Triyug Narayan Tiwari (National General Secretary, NUJI), Bharat Singh (Secretary, UP Journalists Accreditation Committee) and Varanasi MLC Dharmendra Singh Rai as chief guests. The programme was coordinated by senior journalist and UPAJ President Varanasi Vinod Baghi, while Election Officer Rajeev Shukla oversaw the nomination process and declared the results.

In the elections, Sarvesh Kumar Singh was unanimously elected as State President, Anand Karan as General Secretary, and senior journalist from Meerut, UPAJ District President Ajay Chaudhary, was elected as State Vice President. All elected representatives were handed their certificates by the election officer.

Ajay Chaudhary, a seasoned journalist with over 17 years of experience, has been actively contributing to the growth of the organization and safeguarding journalists’ interests for more than a decade. He earlier served as President of UPJA in 2019 and later as President of UPAJ.

His election as State Vice President has been warmly welcomed, with journalists and office bearers across Meerut and the entire state extending their congratulations and best wishes.
