Meerut: A tree plantation drive was organized at the MIET campus in collaboration with Betiyan Foundation under the campaign “Plant Trees, Save Lives.” On this occasion, nearly ten saplings including neem, arjun, peepal, jamun, and parijat were planted.
The plantation drive was led by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh (Campus Director, MIET), Dr. Sanjeev Singh (Dean Academics), and Mr. Sanjay Vashisth (Registrar), who emphasized the importance of environmental conservation.
Speaking on the occasion, Radhika Atri, Meerut President of Betiyan Foundation, said, “Our NGO is committed to promoting a greener future and cleaner environment through such continuous initiatives.”
Among those present from Betiyan Foundation were District President Radhika Atri, District Vice President Dr. Anuradha Dave, Neena Gupta, Senior Medical Director Dr. Sarvjeet Kumar, Advisor Head G.K. Atri, Vice Project Head Ritu Agarwal, and Vice Advisor Poornima Arya, along with several office bearers and members.
The plantation programme highlighted the joint commitment of MIET and Betiyan Foundation towards environmental protection and sustainable living.
