MIT Meerut hosts Orientation Programme “Unnayan – Path of Progress” for B.Sc Agriculture Batch 2025–29


Meerut: The Department of Agriculture at MIT Meerut successfully organized the orientation programme “Unnayan – Path of Progress” for the incoming B.Sc Agriculture batch (2025–29). The event marked a vibrant beginning for the students’ academic journey.

The chief guest, Dr. Hansraj Singh (Professor & Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Muzaffarnagar), addressed the gathering and guided the students on the pivotal role of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in agricultural research, training opportunities and entrepreneurship. He encouraged students to pursue innovation, research, and agri-based startups.

Distinguished guests included Mr. Puneet Agarwal (Vice Chairman, MIT), Dr. K.L.A. Khan (Director, MIT), Dr. Himanshu Sharma (Principal, Professional Courses), Dr. Neeraj Kant Sharma (Principal, Pharmacy), Dr. Raghuvir Singh (Dean, Agriculture), Dr. Gaurav Sharma (Dean, B.Tech), and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor (Dean, Professional Courses), who graced the occasion with their presence.

Adding further value to the programme were eminent speakers such as Dr. Rajendra Singh (Director, Research & Development, MIT), Dr. Hema Negi (HoD, Agriculture), Dr. Madhuri Gupta (Coordinator, Incubation Cell), Mrs. Sonal Mishra (Coordinator, Placement Cell – Professional Courses), and Dr. Rishabh Singh (Departmental Coordinator, Agriculture).

The programme was anchored by Dr. Rishabh Singh (Assistant Professor & Departmental Coordinator, Agriculture). Inspiring addresses by dignitaries, coupled with insightful departmental presentations, made the event both memorable and impactful.

The orientation served as a motivating and enthusiastic start to the academic journey of the new batch. The institution extended heartfelt gratitude to all guests, faculty members, staff, and students for contributing to the success of “Unnayan – Path of Progress.”
