Meerut: The ten-day Ganeshotsav-2025 being celebrated at Venkateshwara Institutions, located on National Highway Bypass, entered its third day with a spectacular line-up of cultural and devotional events including Bhajan Sandhya, Shobhayatra and a dance drama performance.
Thousands of students, faculty members and management officials participated in the festivities, offering prayers to Lord Ganesha amidst the beats of dhol-nagada and later presenting His favourite offering, modaks.
The highlight of the evening was the soulful Bhajan Sandhya presented by Pandit Ramniwas Shastri and his team, who captivated the audience with renditions such as “Ghar Mein Padharo Gajanan Ji,” “Ganpati Bappa Morya,” and “Mangal Murti Morya.” The devotional atmosphere had the entire gathering swaying with joy and reverence.
Special Puja and Distinguished Guests
The special puja at the Ganesh pandal in the university’s sports complex was inaugurated by Founder Chairman Sudhir Giri, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Dr. Supriti Bhatnagar, Dr. Sachin Tutu, and Dr. B.S. Tyagi, who performed the Ganesh Vandana.
Addressing the gathering, Sudhir Giri said, “Ganeshotsav is not only of spiritual and religious significance, but it also unites us with values of harmony, brotherhood and patriotism. For students, Lord Ganesha’s worship is particularly important as He removes obstacles from their path and blesses them with positive energy.”
Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Pro-Chancellor, added, “Lord Ganesha is the deity of wisdom and intellect. His worship paves the way for students’ success and prosperity in life.”
Line-up of Upcoming Events
Organizers informed that during the ten-day long celebrations, more than a dozen events including special puja, Ganesh stuti, rangoli competition, dance contest and cultural activities will be held every day.
