SVU Hosts National Seminar and Felicitation Ceremony on Teachers’ Day 2025




Meerut: Shri Venkateshwara University/Institutions, located on the National Highway Bypass, celebrated Teachers’ Day 2025 with grandeur by organizing a National Seminar on “Teachers – Not Just Destiny Makers, but Nation Builders” along with the prestigious “Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Felicitation Ceremony.”

Over 250 distinguished teachers and principals from across the country, including several National and State Award recipients, were felicitated with shawls, mementos, and certificates in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the field of education.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati by Founder Chairman Mr. Sudhir Giri, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Finance Director Mr. Yuvraj Singh, former DU Deputy Registrar and academic advisor Prof. R.S. Sharma, eminent poetess and educationist Prof. Madhu Chaturvedi, and other dignitaries.

Among the awardees were Shyonath Singh (National Teacher Awardee – President of India), Dr. Yatindra Kataria (National Rajbhasha Awardee), Kuldeep Tyagi, Suman Rani, Manoj Sharma, and Rajkumar Pal, along with many other acclaimed educators. Prof. R.S. Sharma and Prof. Madhu Chaturvedi were conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for their exemplary services in academics.

In his address, Founder Chairman Mr. Sudhir Giri remarked, “India has already emerged as a global leader, and the credit goes to our respected teachers who shape the future of the nation by nurturing its young minds.” Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi added that quality education and global exposure have positioned India among the world’s frontrunners.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Madhu Chaturvedi highlighted former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s vision, stating that his preference to be known as a teacher rather than as President reflects the ultimate supremacy of the Guru.

The celebration also featured vibrant cultural performances by students, presented as a tribute to their teachers, which filled the auditorium with applause and appreciation.

The ceremony was graced by several eminent personalities, including Registrar Prof. Piyush Pandey, Dr. Anna Eric Brown, Dr. Ashwin Saxena, Dr. Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr. Anil Jaiswal, Dr. Neetu Panwar, Dr. Rajvardhan, Dr. Ashutosh, Dr. Darpan Kaushik, CFO Mr. Vikas Bhatia, and Media In-charge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others. The event was excellently anchored by Dr. Jyoti Singh and Mr. Akhil Kumar.
