MIT Welcomes B.Tech Freshers with Enthusiastic Induction Programme

 

Meerut: The auditorium of Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) came alive as the institution hosted the induction programme for its first-year B.Tech students, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey.

In his welcome address, Dr. K.L.A. Khan, Director, urged students to embrace dedication, hard work, and innovation as the pillars of success. Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Principal (PC Courses), and Dr. Neerajkant Sharma, Principal (Pharmacy), emphasized the significance of technical education, research, and experiential learning in shaping future technocrats.

Delivering the keynote, Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Dean Academics, outlined the curriculum framework and evaluation system. He also highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in everyday life, using practical examples to demonstrate its applications. Further, he elaborated on the role of engineering technology, innovation, and creativity in driving societal progress.

The presence of all department heads and faculty members provided students with the opportunity for interaction and guidance. Chief Proctor Prem Kishore Gautam ensured a disciplined environment, while Ms. Sonal Ahlawat, Head of PDP, offered support and motivation to the freshers.

The induction programme concluded with active participation from students, who engaged in discussions and networking with peers. The smooth conduct of the event was credited to coordinators Ms. Ritima, Ms. Nigarish Saifi, Ms. Ritu Sharma, Ms. Shumaila Hussain, and Ms. Baby Verma.

By familiarizing students with the institution’s culture, values, and academic framework, the induction programme laid a strong foundation for their academic journey and set a positive tone for the sessions ahead.
