Innovation Hub at IPEC-TBI: Over 800 B.Tech Students Trained in ‘Design Thinking’


Ghaziabad: The Inderprastha Engineering College Technology Business Incubator (IPEC-TBI), in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully concluded a four-day, eight-hour module on “Design Thinking, Innovation & Entrepreneurship.” The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 800 first-year B.Tech students across various branches.

The structured program was designed to nurture creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking among students, encouraging them to become not just job seekers but future job creators.

  • Day 1: Students were introduced to the fundamentals of Design Thinking and its application in solving real-world challenges.

  • Day 2: Dr. Ankita Bajpayi (MBA Department) conducted interactive ideation and brainstorming sessions, helping students convert raw ideas into practical solutions.

  • Day 3: Ms. Priyanka Gupta, CEO, IPEC-TBI, inspired students with the message “Be job providers, not job seekers,” highlighting the role of technology in shaping the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

  • Day 4: Dr. Tanveer (Head, SDC) shared mentorship opportunities at the Skill Development Centre, while Dr. S.P. Singh and Dr. Arvind Tiwari introduced prototype support facilities available at the AICTE IDEA Lab.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Priyanka Gupta said, “Our mission is to inspire young minds to think big, innovate fearlessly, and transform into future entrepreneurs. Through the incubation ecosystem at IPEC-TBI, students gain access to mentorship, resources, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.”

The module concluded with high student engagement and idea-sharing, marking a significant step towards cultivating a new generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. On this occasion, Vice Chairman Puneet Agrawal, Dean Academics Dr. Amit Jain, and Dr. Sunita Yadav (Dean, CS Allied Branch) congratulated the organizers and encouraged students to pursue innovation-driven growth.
