Indian Air Force Team Visits IPEC to Inspire Students on Defence Careers

Group Captain Sujata Tiwari interacts with students, highlights career opportunities, leadership and national service

Ghaziabad: Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad, hosted an interactive Career Awareness and Student Interaction Programme featuring Group Captain Sujata Tiwari and her team from the Indian Air Force (IAF). The programme aimed to educate and motivate students about career opportunities in the armed forces while instilling values of leadership, discipline and national service.

The event was organised under the guidance of Vice Chairman Puneet Aggarwal, Director – Training & Placement Akansha Aggarwal, and Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Sharma, reflecting the institution's continued commitment to providing students with meaningful exposure to distinguished professionals from diverse sectors. The programme was attended by the Dean Academics, Dean – CSE Allied, Heads of Departments, faculty members and a large number of students.

Addressing the gathering, Group Captain Sujata Tiwari provided valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities available in the Indian Air Force. She explained the eligibility criteria, selection process, training structure, career progression and professional benefits associated with serving in one of the country's most respected defence organisations.

Encouraging students to consider a career in the armed forces, she emphasised that the Indian Air Force offers much more than employment—it provides an opportunity to serve the nation while developing qualities such as discipline, leadership, integrity, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.

Students also gained a deeper understanding of the lifestyle, responsibilities and professional growth opportunities available to Air Force personnel through an engaging interactive session.

Adding to the enthusiasm, the Indian Air Force team conducted an interactive quiz competition, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Winners and participants were presented with souvenirs and goodies, making the session both informative and engaging.

On the occasion, Director – Training & Placement Akansha Aggarwal felicitated Group Captain Sujata Tiwari and the Indian Air Force team, expressing gratitude for their inspiring interaction with students. She reiterated IPEC's commitment to creating platforms that expose students to accomplished professionals and diverse career avenues beyond conventional industries.

The programme was smoothly anchored by Haripriya Sapam, while the college media team, comprising Anmol and Rishi, ensured comprehensive documentation and media coverage of the event, capturing its key moments for the wider IPEC community.
