Venkateshwara University Launches Five-Day ‘Diksharambh-2026’ Orientation Programme

Institution focuses on skill development, global exposure and industry-ready education for freshers

Meerut: Shri Venkateshwara University inaugurated its five-day orientation programme, 'Diksharambh-2026', for newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students, welcoming them to the institution with an emphasis on academic excellence, skill development and career readiness.

The programme was inaugurated at the university's Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium by Sudhir Giri, Founder Chairman of the Venkateshwara Group, along with Dr Rajeev Tyagi, Pro-Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Kant Dave, Vice-Chancellor; senior journalist Kumar Rajesh; Prof. Manas Ranjan, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Piyush Kumar Pandey, Registrar; Acharya Ashwini; Acharya Siddharth; and Dr Rajesh Singh, Dean Academics.

Addressing the gathering, Sudhir Giri said the National Education Policy (NEP) has opened new avenues for higher education and employment, but students must continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills to remain competitive. He said the Venkateshwara Group has produced thousands of professionals in nursing, management, pharmacy, engineering, law, liberal arts, agriculture and applied sciences, many of whom are serving in leading organisations in India and abroad.

Dr Rajeev Tyagi, Pro-Chancellor, said the NEP offers immense opportunities for young learners, provided they distinguish themselves through continuous learning and innovation. He reiterated the university's commitment to providing quality education and preparing students for successful careers.

Delivering the keynote address, Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Kant Dave, Vice-Chancellor, encouraged students to maintain a positive mindset, saying that success begins with positive thinking and a clear vision for the future.

Prof. Manas Ranjan, Pro Vice-Chancellor, said the university is strengthening student and faculty exchange programmes to provide global academic exposure and enhance the quality of education.

Speaking on communication skills, Acharya Ashwini said true communication begins with understanding emotions, not merely listening to words.

Registrar Prof. Piyush Kumar Pandey described Diksharambh-2026 as the first step towards a successful, stable and rewarding professional journey for the new students.
