IPEC promotes simulation-based learning to strengthen management education

AIMA BizLab EDGE programme equips faculty with experiential teaching techniques





Ghaziabad: The Department of Management Studies, Inderprastha Business School, Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Site-IV, Industrial Area, Sahibabad, organised an AIMA BizLab EDGE Train-the-Trainer Faculty Facilitation Ceremony in collaboration with the All India Management Association (AIMA).

The programme aimed to familiarise faculty members with contemporary management education practices, experiential learning and simulation-based teaching techniques that can help bridge the gap between classroom concepts and real-world business situations.

Vishal Sinha, Deputy Director, CMD, AIMA, and Ashu Seekri, Assistant Director, CMD, AIMA, attended the programme as chief guests. The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Sadhana Gupta, Principal, IPEC, who emphasised the importance of continuous faculty development and experiential learning. She said faculty members need to continuously innovate their teaching approaches to keep pace with the evolving requirements of the industry.

The ceremony also recognised the efforts of faculty members who successfully completed the AIMA BizLab EDGE Train-the-Trainer programme. Participants shared their learning experiences and discussed the potential of simulation-based learning to expose students to realistic business environments and decision-making situations.

Experts highlighted that experiential learning can play an important role in developing students’ decision-making, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork and business acumen. The programme also provided faculty members an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences and explore innovative approaches to management education.

The programme was coordinated by Dr Akanksha Gupta, In-charge, BBA, CCSU. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the guests, resource persons and participating faculty members.

The organisers reiterated their commitment to strengthening innovative and practice-oriented teaching methodologies to make management education more relevant, engaging and industry-focused.
