MIT to Host National Conference on Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship in Pharma

Two-day event on September 11–12 to bring together academicians, researchers, industry experts and pharmacy students



MEERUT: The Department of Pharmacy and IQAC at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) will organise a two-day national conference on “Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship in Pharma for a Viksit Bharat” on September 11 and 12. The conference is being organised in association with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and will focus on emerging trends in pharmaceutical research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The conference will feature expert talks, technical sessions and poster presentations covering drug discovery, advanced drug delivery and formulation technologies, biotechnology, artificial intelligence in healthcare, start-ups, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, intellectual property rights and sustainable healthcare.

Academicians, research scholars, industry professionals and undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students from across the country are expected to participate. Selected research and review abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings after peer review.

The event will be guided by AKTU Vice-Chancellor Prof JP Pandey and MIT Chairman Vishnu Saran as Chief Patrons. Gaurav Agarwal, Vice-Chairman, MIT, will be the Patron, while Prof (Dr) Kunwar Laiq Ahmad Khan, Director, MIT, will serve as Programme Chair. Prof (Dr) Neeraj Kant Sharma, Principal, Department of Pharmacy, MIT, is the Convener and Dr Amrendra Pratap Yadav is the Organising Secretary.

The conference aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, promote research-driven innovation and encourage entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical sector, contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
