MIET Incubation Forum Honoured as ‘Best Promising Incubator 2026’ at UP Startup Samvad 3.0

Meerut: The MIET Incubation Forum has added another significant achievement to Meerut’s growing startup and innovation ecosystem, winning the ‘Best Promising Incubator 2026’ award at UP Startup Samvad 3.0, held in Lucknow.

The award recognises the forum’s contribution towards strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem and supporting emerging entrepreneurs through mentorship, resources and institutional support.

The event was organised by the Innovation Hub UP of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) with a focus on promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, investment and the growth of the state’s startup ecosystem.

The programme was attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Atal Innovation Mission Mission Director Deepak Bagla, Director General and Secretary, Technical Education Department, Selva Kumari J, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited Himanshu Kaushik, and AKTU Vice-Chancellor Prof JP Pandey, among other dignitaries.

Representing MIET, Campus Director Prof Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh and CEO of MIET Incubation Forum Rehan Ahmed received the prestigious award.

Prof Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh said MIET has been consistently working to foster innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship among young people. He said that more than 100 startups are currently associated with the MIET Incubation Forum, receiving mentoring, guidance and support for business development, innovation and access to new opportunities.

He added that empowering young entrepreneurs and creating an enabling ecosystem for their ideas remains a key priority for the institution, contributing towards the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Rehan Ahmed, CEO, MIET Incubation Forum, said the forum is committed to providing emerging entrepreneurs with access to mentorship, resources, networking opportunities and institutional support. He added that the organisation is continuously working to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh and encourage innovation at the grassroots level.

Congratulating the team on the achievement, MIET Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice-Chairman Gaurav Agarwal and Barkha Agarwal appreciated the efforts of the MIET Incubation Forum. They said the recognition reflects the institution’s sustained efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship and will further encourage young innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into viable ventures.
