MIT welcomes new MBA students at ‘Shikshaarambh-2026’ orientation programme

Education, skills and leadership are key to success, says Dr K.L.A. Khan

Meerut: The Department of Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) organised ‘Shikshaarambh – Orientation Programme 2026’ to welcome newly admitted MBA first-year students and familiarise them with the institute, academic environment, faculty, facilities and career opportunities.

The programme began with a traditional tilak ceremony, followed by a Saraswati Vandana dance performance by Mansi Kumari, an MBA second-year student.

Director Dr K.L.A. Khan welcomed the new students and emphasised the importance of developing skills, discipline and leadership abilities alongside academic knowledge. He encouraged the students to remain focused on their goals and continuously work towards their professional growth.

Assistant Professor Saba Hashmi delivered the welcome address and motivated the students to begin their MBA journey with enthusiasm, dedication and discipline. Principal Dr Himanshu Sharma, Dean Academics Dr Gaurav Sharma, Dean-DSW Dr Sanjay Mathur and Dean-Management Dr Ankur Goel also extended their best wishes to the new batch.

MBA Head Dr Ravindra Kumar Singh gave an overview of the institute and the MBA programme, highlighting opportunities for skill development, industry exposure, career growth and leadership development.

The orientation programme also featured management games organised by MBA second-year students. The activities encouraged teamwork, creativity, communication, leadership and decision-making among the participants. Winners were felicitated with prizes.

As a gesture of goodwill, second-year students presented pens to their juniors and wished them success in their MBA journey. The programme was anchored by Saloni Sharma and Vidushi Jain, while faculty members of the MBA department actively supported the event.
