IPEC Hosts MyGov Campus Connect 2026, Encourages Students to Embrace Startups and Innovation

Ghaziabad: Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad, in collaboration with IPEC Technology Business Incubator (IPEC-TBI) and MyGov, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, organised MyGov Campus Connect 2026 to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and startup culture among students.

The event brought together government representatives, industry professionals, startup ecosystem stakeholders and students to discuss the role of young innovators in addressing emerging challenges and contributing to India's digital transformation.

A key highlight of the programme was a panel discussion on “Building for Bharat: Startups, Innovation and the Power of Youth.” The discussion featured Mudit Kumar, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ideabaaz; Tanya Vats, an influencer; and Sajid Raza, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IPEC-TBI.

The panellists shared their insights on the evolving startup ecosystem, the role of technology in solving real-world problems and the importance of turning innovative ideas into viable business ventures. They encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship, identify opportunities and develop solutions that address the needs of society.

IPEC Vice-Chairman Puneet Agarwal and Director Prof. (Dr.) D. K. Sharma addressed the students and urged them to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. They encouraged young people to take initiative, work on new ideas and consider creating employment opportunities through their own ventures rather than focusing solely on job-seeking.

Prof. Dr. Amit Jain, Prof. Dr. Ranbir Singh and Sapna Sharma were also present at the event.

Another major attraction was a startup showcase, where four startups presented their products and pitched their business ideas. The participating ventures demonstrated how their innovations could meet market requirements and address practical challenges. The showcase also provided an opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs to present their work and interact with the academic and entrepreneurial community.

Amit Kumar, Additional Director at MyGov, attended the programme as a representative of the Government of India's citizen engagement platform, highlighting the importance of collaboration between government initiatives and academic institutions.

The event aimed to strengthen the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus while encouraging students to actively participate in India's growing startup ecosystem and digital economy.
