Two-Day Herbal-Pharma Entrepreneurship Program Concludes at MIT

Experts Highlight Innovation, Startup Opportunities; Students Inspired


Meerut: The Meerut Entrepreneurs Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy, Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), successfully organized a two-day entrepreneurship development program titled “Herbal-Pharma Synergy: Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Farm to Formulation.”

The inaugural session began with a welcome address and program introduction by Dr. Neeraj Kant Sharma, Principal, DPMIT. MIT Director Dr. K.L.A. Khan encouraged students to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship, while Dr. Madhuri Gupta, CEO of Meerut Entrepreneurs Foundation, assured institutional support and resources for budding innovators.

The technical sessions featured expert talks on innovation and commercialization in the herbal and pharma sectors. On the first day, Dr. Ashish Thombre delivered a lecture on “Innovation and Startup Opportunities in Pharma and Herbal Sector & the Role of Ecosystem”, outlining potential across ten key sectors. This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Anuj Pathak on “Commercialization of an Innovative Cosmetic Product.” On the second day, Dr. Alok Sharma spoke on “Entrepreneurship: From Lab to Commercialization”, while entrepreneur Ms. Urvashi Bhardwaj shared her journey to inspire students.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Amarendra Pratap Yadav, who also delivered the vote of thanks. It was anchored by Ms. Anshika Sharma and Ms. Ritu. Nearly 290 students from various departments, along with faculty members of the Pharmacy Department, participated with great enthusiasm. The event provided participants with motivation, insights, and confidence to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.
