MIT Distributes Scholarship Cheques to 33 Students


Meerut: Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), located on the Partapur Bypass, distributed scholarship cheques to academically meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds. During the event, Chairman of MIT Group, Vishnu Sharan Agarwal, handed over scholarship cheques to 33 selected students.

The scholarships were awarded under the Pisthiya Vidya Usha Trust, which aims to support deserving yet financially constrained students by easing their educational expenses. This year, a total of 33 students benefited, including 19 from B.Tech, 2 from B.Pharma, 3 from BBA, and 9 from BCA programs.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Vishnu Sharan Agarwal stated that in 2019 it was observed that many talented students were forced to discontinue their education due to financial hardships. To address this issue, the Pisthiya Vidya Usha Trust was established, and it has since been consistently supporting needy students.

The program was anchored by Priya Chaudhary. Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included Director Dr. K.L.A. Khan, Principal Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Pharmacy Principal Dr. Neeraj Kant Sharma, Dean Academics Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Ajay Chaudhary, and other faculty members.
