Campus Adda। Ghaziabad। The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is set to organize the third edition of the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp at Indraprastha Engineering College from April 6, 2026. The five-day residential programme will continue till April 10 and aims to promote innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurial skills among students.
Vice Chairman of the institute, Puneet Aggarwal, stated that the IDE Bootcamp is inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the initiative seeks to encourage students to think innovatively and develop entrepreneurial capabilities. The programme also reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening innovation and startup culture in the country.
The bootcamp will be inaugurated virtually from AICTE Headquarters, New Delhi, by AICTE Chairman Prof. Yogesh Singh in the presence of Member Secretary Dr. Shyama Rath.
Director of the institute, Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Kumar Sharma, informed that the bootcamp is being conducted at 13 locations across the country, with Indraprastha Engineering College serving as one of the key centres. He added that the Wadhwani Foundation is the knowledge partner, providing expert trainers, while the SBI Foundation is supporting the programme as an organising partner.
According to the programme coordinator, Dr. Arvind Tiwari, a total of 261 participants from various states have registered so far. During the bootcamp, startup founders, innovation experts, and subject specialists will conduct interactive sessions and mentor participants.
On the first day, participants will present their innovative ideas, while on the third day they will be taken for academic and industrial exposure visits to enhance their learning and networking opportunities. The final day will feature a pitching session, where participants will present their ideas before a jury panel. The top five teams at each centre will be awarded certificates of appreciation and non-monetary recognitions.
On this occasion, Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Aggarwal, Campus Director Dr. D.K. Sharma, Dean (Academics) Dr. Amit Jain, Dean Dr. Sunita Yadav, CEO TBI Sajid, and Prof. Dr. S.P. Singh extended their best wishes for the successful of the programme.
The IDE Bootcamp is expected to provide students with a valuable platform to learn, innovate, and transform their ideas into practical solutions, enabling them to contribute effectively to the fields of technology and entrepreneurship.
