IDE Bootcamp 3.0 Kicks Off at Inderprastha Engineering College to Foster Innovation and Entrepreneurship



Ghaziabad: Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC) on Monday inaugurated the third edition of the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp, a five-day residential programme aimed at nurturing creativity and entrepreneurial skills among students. The bootcamp is being held from April 6 to April 10, 2026.

The initiative is being organised under the joint aegis of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), with the objective of equipping students across the country with innovation-driven thinking, design capabilities, and entrepreneurial competencies to address future challenges.

The central inauguration was conducted virtually by AICTE chairman Prof Yogesh Singh and member secretary Prof Shyama Rath, along with other senior officials. At the institutional level, the event was formally inaugurated by chairman Vishnu Saran, vice chairman Puneet Agarwal, and director Prof (Dr) Devendra Kumar Sharma.

Representatives from the Wadhwani Foundation, Dr Neelam Saxena and Prof (Dr) Sachin Gupta, were also present on the occasion.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, followed by the rendition of the national anthem. Guests were later felicitated with bouquets, shawls, and mementoes.

In their addresses, speakers emphasised the importance of innovation in education, leadership development, entrepreneurial mindset, and aligning engineering education with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Chairman Vishnu Saran highlighted that the bootcamp serves as a dynamic platform to promote creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students and faculty alike. He added that through real-life challenges, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning, participants are being prepared to understand the complexities of startups and innovation ecosystems.

Bootcamp coordinator Dr Arvind Tiwari informed that 187 participants have already registered for the programme physically, while others are expected to join in the coming days.

The event witnessed the presence of deans, heads of departments, faculty members, and participants from across institutions.
