MIET to Host Week-Long FDP on UiPath RPA from April 27

Meerut: The Department of Information Technology at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) will organise a week-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using UiPath from April 27 to May 1, 2026. The programme is being conducted in collaboration with ICT Academy.

The initiative aims to equip faculty members with skills in emerging automation technologies, particularly RPA, which is rapidly gaining prominence in the era of digital transformation. The FDP will feature expert lectures, hands-on training sessions, and practical exercises based on real-world industrial scenarios, enabling participants to gain industry-relevant exposure.

Saeed Zeeshan Ali Qadri, an expert in automation and UiPath technologies, will serve as the keynote trainer for the programme, guiding participants through various aspects of RPA implementation and applications.

The event will be conducted under the guidance of Campus Director Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh. Dean (Academics) Dr Sanjeev Singh, Associate Dean (Training) Gaurav and Rohit Agrawal, along with Head of the IT Department Prof Dr Swati Sharma, will extend their support in organising the programme. The FDP is being coordinated by Dr Puneet Mittal and Dr Rohit Kumar Singh.

According to the institute, the initiative is a significant step towards enhancing faculty competencies and aligning them with current industry requirements. It is expected to help educators gain practical insights into new technologies, thereby enabling them to deliver more effective and industry-oriented education to students.
