Navratri Celebrations Echo Message of Women Empowerment at MIT Campus

 

Meerut: The Meerut Institute of Technology campus resonated with the spirit of women empowerment during the auspicious occasion of Vasant Navratri, as a special awareness programme was organised under Mission Shakti Phase–05. The event highlighted the importance of women’s dignity, safety and self-reliance.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Director Dr K.L.A. Khan, Principal Dr Himanshu Sharma and Dean of Student Welfare Dr Sanjay Mathur. Active participation from students added enthusiasm and vibrancy to the event.

A blend of creativity and awareness was witnessed as students presented their ideas on ‘Nari Shakti’ through paintings, impactful slogans and thought-provoking speeches. Speakers emphasised the evolving role of women in modern society and stressed the need to safeguard their rights and dignity.

Addressing the gathering, speakers underlined that ensuring women’s safety, respect and independence is not just a social responsibility but also the foundation of a strong nation. They highlighted that awareness plays a crucial role in building a progressive society and such initiatives help instil a sense of responsibility among the youth.

The event was efficiently conducted by Sakshi Ahluwalia, while Aarti Chaudhary, Rupal Chaudhary, Dr Meenakshi Verma and Aditya Goyal from the BCA department contributed significantly to its success.

Aditya Goyal was specially appreciated for managing all technical arrangements, including lighting and sound systems, ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the programme.

Over 50 students participated in the event, reflecting the growing awareness and commitment of the youth towards women empowerment. The programme concluded with a strong message: a truly empowered society is built on empowered women.
