Venkateshwara University Shines in IIRF-2025 Rankings: Secures 16th Rank in India, 3rd in Uttar Pradesh

Excels in Medicine & Allied Sciences; Campus Erupts in Celebration of National Recognition

Meerut — In a moment of immense pride and academic glory, Shri Venkateshwara University has been ranked 16th across India and 3rd in Uttar Pradesh in the prestigious Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2025, under the Medicine and Allied Sciences category — which includes disciplines like Nursing, Pharmacy, and Paramedical Sciences. The ranking highlights the university’s outstanding performance in research, training, and student placements, placing it among the nation's leading educational institutions.

Competing against over 5,000 higher education institutions, including 700+ universities, 3,000 engineering and management colleges, and 1,000+ undergraduate institutions, Venkateshwara University emerged as a frontrunner in quality academic delivery and institutional excellence.

To commemorate this milestone, the university hosted the "National Ranking Celebration Ceremony – 2025" at the Dr. C.V. Raman Auditorium. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ritual by Founder Chairman Sudhir Giri, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Vice Chancellor Prof. Krishnakant Dave, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Mehta, in reverence to Goddess Saraswati.

The campus turned festive as students, faculty, and staff celebrated the achievement with dance, music, sweets, and cake-cutting ceremonies. Dhols and cheers echoed through the university, symbolizing a collective sense of pride and accomplishment.

“This is not just a personal success but a collective victory of our entire Venkateshwara family — our students, faculty, staff, and parents. Their dedication has made this moment historic,” said Founder Chairman Sudhir Giri in an emotional address.

Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi emphasized the university's vision for the future, stating, “With our focus on innovation, research, and placement, we are determined to position Venkateshwara among the top five universities in India and evolve as a true Centre of Excellence.”

Vice Chancellor Prof. Krishnakant Dave added, “Being ranked 16th in the nation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to student success and nation-building through education.”

The event witnessed participation from prominent academic figures including Registrar Prof. Piyush Pandey, Group Advisor Prof. R.S. Sharma, Legal Director Devpratap Singh, along with senior faculty members and department heads. The air was filled with inspiration and renewed motivation for future academic conquests.

Notably, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, retained the top position in the IIRF 2025 rankings for the tenth consecutive year. However, Venkateshwara’s remarkable leap in rankings has set a new benchmark for private universities, especially in Northern India, reinforcing its reputation as a rising powerhouse in higher education.

This recognition reaffirms Shri Venkateshwara University’s stature as a dynamic, forward-looking institution committed to academic excellence, student empowerment, and national progress.
