Workshop and Recruitment Drive on Taiwan Expo 2025 Held at MIET, Six Students Selected for Internship

Akhil Gautam | Meerut: The Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) hosted a special Workshop and Recruitment Drive organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The event was graced by TAITRA Director Mr. Vincent Lin, who shared insights about the upcoming Taiwan Expo 2025 and its vast opportunities for students.

Mr. Lin informed the students that the grand expo is scheduled to be held from September 25 to 27, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. More than 120 Taiwanese companies are expected to participate, showcasing cutting-edge innovations and technologies in sectors such as Smart City Solutions, Smart Manufacturing, Green Innovations, Smart Lifestyle Products, and Wellness and Healthcare.

During the session, six third-year B.Tech students from MIET were selected for internships, offering them an opportunity to engage directly with the international event. These students will gain exposure to global work culture and international opportunities, which will prove to be a valuable boost to their professional journey.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Akanksha Agarwal, Director of Placement at MIET, emphasized that Taiwan Expo 2025 will serve as a bridge between academics and industry, especially in the context of India-Taiwan relations. “This platform will offer students a global stage to showcase their potential and enhance their professional competencies,” she added.

Also present at the event were Vice Chairman Mr. Puneet Agarwal, Director Dr. S.K. Singh, Associate Director Dr. Mohan Prasad, Placement Head Mr. Farman Akhtar, and Training & Placement Coordinators Mr. Shailendra Singh and Mr. Sushil Sharma.
