MIET hosts ‘Inception: The Startup Pitch-a-thon’ to foster innovation and entrepreneurship

Meerut: The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), in collaboration with the MIET Incubation Forum, successfully organized ‘Inception: The Startup Pitch-a-thon’ on campus. The initiative aimed at encouraging students to embrace innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Students from various departments participated, presenting innovative ideas spanning technology, tourism, education, healthcare, and social development. Each team was allotted seven minutes for their presentation, including a question–answer round with the judges.

The jury comprised Imran Khan, Mohini Singh and Tanushree Jain, who evaluated the entries on parameters such as innovation, feasibility, market potential, and presentation skills.

The winners were announced at the end of the competition:

  • First Prize: Bitsorb and Kavach

  • Second Prize: WriteBuddy

  • Third Prize: Neovate

The winning teams were felicitated with mementos and certificates. The jury also motivated participants to refine their concepts further and work towards practical implementation.

The event was graced by Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, MIET; Rehan Ahmad, CEO, MIET Incubation Forum; Vanshika Yadav and Sanskriti Sharma, Assistant Incubation Managers; and Ashish Sen, Accounts Officer. Their support and guidance contributed significantly to the success of the program.

The event was smoothly conducted by the E-Cell MIET and MIET Incubation Forum teams. Concluding the program, E-Cell representatives assured that similar opportunities will continue to be provided in the future, enabling more students to transform their ideas into real-world entrepreneurial ventures.
