Meerut: Three startups incubated at MIET, Meerut, achieved national recognition at the convocation ceremony of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The event was graced by astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla as the chief guest and Governor Anandiben Patel as the presiding guest. A total of seven awards were presented across different startup categories, out of which three prestigious awards went to MIET startups.
The awardees included Pulsewave Innovations Pvt. Ltd., which received the Sustainability Champion Award; Innovacor Technology and Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which bagged the Technology Innovation Award; and IMPECH Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which won the Accessibility Startup Award.
Among the innovations, MIET students Dikshant Kumar and Manohar Kushwaha developed Kavach 1.0, an advanced anti-drone system capable of neutralizing hostile drones using multi-band jamming technology. This earned them the Technology Innovation Award. Similarly, students Harsh Chauhan and Sarthak Sisodia designed Life Vision, a pocket-sized assistive device for the visually impaired that alerts users about obstacles through vibration signals. The innovation was honored with the Accessibility Startup Award. Additionally, entrepreneurs Mohit and Vansh Tiwari from Pulsewave Innovations created Raksha Kavach, a real-time gas detection device designed to safeguard workers from hazardous gases in industrial units and septic tanks, which won the Sustainability Champion Award.
These achievements have not only highlighted MIET’s technological capabilities but also underscored its commitment to social impact and safety. With these recognitions, MIET Meerut has further strengthened its position as a leading hub for innovation in the country.

MIET Incubation Forum CEO Rehan Ahmed said, “Our institution’s mission is to empower students in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Through initiatives like MSME and Start-in-UP, we provide financial assistance and help transform their ideas into real-world solutions. So far, we have incubated over 100 startups, and our goal is to guide several of them on the path to becoming unicorns.”
