MIET Meerut to Host AI Impact Pre-Summit Event 2026 on February 9
Meerut: MIET, Meerut will organise the AI Impact Pre-Summit Event 2026 on February 9, 2026, at 11:00 am at Auditorium-3, Raman Block. The theme of the event is “Human Capital Enhancement for an AI-Ready Workforce.”
The pre-summit is being held as a precursor to the AI Impact Summit, which will be hosted by the Government of India at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The main summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians and global experts to deliberate on India’s artificial intelligence vision, policy frameworks, innovation ecosystem and workforce development.
The event at MIET is being organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Singh, Campus Director and Dean (Academics), and Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar, Dean, CSE and Allied Departments.
A key highlight of the programme will be a panel discussion titled “AI-Ready Graduates: Rethinking Education for India’s Future Workspace,” focusing on aligning academic curricula with the evolving requirements of AI-driven industries.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Scientist ‘G’ and Centre Head, C-DAC Delhi, will attend the event as the Chief Guest, while Arvind Kumar, Advisor, C-DAC Delhi, will be the Guest of Honour.
The expert panel will include Dr. Priyanka Jain (Scientist ‘F’, Neurocognitive AI and XR, C-DAC Delhi), Mayank Sharma (Co-founder and AI Researcher, Neufology.in), Mohd. Umar Alam (Lead Platform Engineer, TestMu AI), and Vishnu Vashist (Partner Solutions Architect, AWS).
The programme is being led by Dr. Swati Sharma, Head of the CSIT Department, along with Shristi Vashist, Assistant Professor, CSE. The pre-summit aims to prepare students and educators for future AI-enabled workplaces while strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
