IPEC, Wadhwani Foundation Hold Growth Workshop to Help MSMEs Scale in Digital Era

 

Ghaziabad: Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), through its IPEC Technology Business Incubator (IPEC-TBI) Foundation, in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, organised a one-day Growth Workshop on "Go-to-Market Excellence: Scaling SMEs in the Digital Era" at its Sahibabad campus.

The workshop brought together nearly 50 MSME owners, entrepreneurs and industry experts from diverse sectors to discuss innovative business strategies, digital transformation and sustainable growth. Members and office-bearers of the Sahibabad Industries Association (SIA) also participated, strengthening industry-academia collaboration.

Sunil Kumar, Deputy Director, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, attended the programme as the chief guest. Addressing the participants, he highlighted the Centre's continued efforts to strengthen the MSME ecosystem through innovation, technology adoption and digital transformation. He urged entrepreneurs to leverage government schemes, embrace emerging technologies and adopt digital solutions to improve productivity, competitiveness and long-term business growth.

The event was also attended by Dinesh Mittal, President, Sahibabad Industries Association; Mukesh Gupta, General Secretary, SIA; and Dr Atul Kumar Jain, President, Ghaziabad Iron Merchants Association and General Secretary, Technical Institutions Foundation of Uttar Pradesh. The dignitaries appreciated IPEC's initiative in creating a knowledge-sharing platform for MSMEs and stressed the need for stronger collaboration between industry and academia to drive innovation and enhance the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.

Experts from the Wadhwani Foundation conducted technical sessions on go-to-market strategy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) for business growth, sales acceleration, market expansion and practical growth frameworks. The sessions offered actionable insights to help MSMEs strengthen their market presence, expand operations and effectively integrate AI-driven technologies into their business processes.

Puneet Agarwal, Vice Chairman, IPEC, reaffirmed the institution's commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and industry-academia partnerships. He said such initiatives provide entrepreneurs with contemporary business knowledge, meaningful networking opportunities and practical guidance for sustainable growth.

Among those present were Prof. (Dr.) Amit Jain, Dean Academics, IPEC; Sajid Raza, CEO, IPEC-TBI Foundation; and Sapna Sharma, who interacted with industry representatives during the programme.

The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion where entrepreneurs shared business challenges and exchanged ideas with industry experts. Participants described the programme as highly informative, practical and valuable for networking and business development.
