MP Arun Govil honours achievers, stresses values, discipline and holistic development


Meerut: MIET Public School, Mawana Road, organised a grand Scholarship Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony to honour meritorious students for their outstanding academic achievements. The event was inaugurated by Meerut-Hapur MP Arun Govil, along with School Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Gaurav Agrawal, School Manager Barkha Agrawal, and Principal Rupali Sehgal.

Addressing the gathering, Arun Govil said that recognising talent is the foundation of a progressive society and a stronger nation. He urged students to pursue excellence not only in academics but also in character, discipline and lifelong learning. Emphasising the importance of balanced development, he encouraged students to actively participate in sports alongside academics and inspired them to read the Ramayana and imbibe its moral values. He later presented scholarship cheques to the meritorious students and wished them success in their future endeavours.

As part of the scholarship programme, 23 Class X students who secured more than 90% marks in the board examinations were awarded scholarships in the form of fee concessions for Classes XI and XII. This year, the school distributed scholarships worth ₹13.34 lakh to recognise academic excellence.

The school also honoured 10 Class X students and six Class XII students who secured 100% marks in individual subjects. Among the Class X board toppers, Swarth Satsangi secured the first position, followed by Ishan Kumar Daksh in second place and Aditya Dev in third. In Class XII, Yatharth Singh was recognised as the Science topper, Divyanshi Khari topped the Humanities stream, and Kushagra Goyal emerged as the Commerce topper.

Extending recognition beyond board examinations, the school felicitated students securing first and second positions from Classes I to IX. Eight winners of the MIET Olympiad were also honoured. The management said the Olympiad question papers had been prepared by IIT faculty experts, providing students with exposure to national-level competitive standards.

To encourage discipline and consistency, Divya Chaudhary (Class V) and Atharv Tyagi (Class VII) received the 100% Attendance Award, while Preeti Kathuria was honoured with the 100% Teacher Attendance Award.

The school also recognised the contribution of its faculty by presenting the Teachers' Academic Excellence Award to six teachers whose guidance enabled students to secure perfect scores in various Class X and XII board examination subjects.

Among those who extended special support in organising the event were Dr Himanshu Sharma, Srinjoy Banerjee, Ajay Chaudhary, Ekta Saxena, Sonika, Vivek, Paridhi, Sonia, Nitin Bhatnagar, Anuj, and Bittu.
