‘Dayitva’ Ceremony Held at MIET Public School

– Newly Elected Student Council Takes Oath of Responsibility

– Mehul Sharma Appointed Head Boy, Deepanshi as Head Girl

Meerut, May 3MIET Public School, Jagriti Vihar, organized the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Student Council under the title ‘Dayitva’ on Saturday. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and faculty members. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Manager Barkha Agarwal, and Principal Dr. Silky Verma, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

Following the welcome song, the newly elected council members, led by a disciplined march-past, took the stage where the chief guest administered the oath of responsibility, urging them to uphold their duties with honesty, discipline, and commitment.

This year, Mehul Sharma was appointed as the Head Boy and Deepanshi as the Head Girl. Somistha and Akshit Kumar took over as the Vice Head Girl and Vice Head Boy, respectively. The positions of Sports Captains were entrusted to Aryan Moral (Boys) and Gauri (Girls), while Adish and Vanshika were named Discipline In-Charges. Naina Raghav and Shraddha Sharma took responsibility as Cultural In-Charges. Captains, Vice-Captains, Assistant House Captains, Senior Prefects, and other in-charges from all four houses—Subhash, Bhagat, Patel, and Azad—were also conferred with their respective badges of honor.

In his address, Chairman Vishnu Sharan encouraged the students to maintain the dignity of their roles and fulfill their responsibilities diligently. He also urged parents and teachers to instill moral, social, and practical values in children alongside academic knowledge.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Silky Verma emphasized that assigning responsibilities to students is the first step toward developing leadership qualities that stay with them throughout life. The event was successfully coordinated by Senior Coordinator Bulbul Chaudhary with the support of all teachers. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, marking a proud moment for students and parents alike.
