Two-Day International Conference on Mathematics Begins at MIT, Meerut


  • Eminent academicians from Germany, Japan, and Serbia participate; 92 research papers to be presented
Meerut, May 16: The Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), located on the Partapur Bypass, inaugurated a two-day International Conference on “Research Advances in Pure and Applied Mathematics” with great enthusiasm.

The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by distinguished guests and renowned academicians from India and abroad. The keynote participants included Prof. Eberhard Malkowski from Germany, Prof. Takanori Ibaraki from Japan, Prof. Vesna Velickovic from Serbia, Dr. Javed Ali (Aligarh Muslim University), Dr. Izhar Uddin (Jamia Millia Islamia), Prof. Mukesh Kumar Sharma (CCSU, Meerut), Dr. Sanjay Kumar, and MIT Director Dr. K.L.A. Khan.

Conference convener Dr. Mohammad Arshad stated that the event aims to provide an international platform for scholars and researchers working in various fields of mathematics to exchange ideas and insights with global experts.

The academic sessions are centered around contemporary mathematical domains including Functional Analysis, Wavelet Theory, Optimization, Graph Theory, Coding Theory, and Differential Equations. A total of 92 research papers are being presented across the two days, with 50 papers discussed on the first day.

In his address, Prof. Malkowski elaborated on the structure of Germany’s higher education system and recent policy innovations, while Prof. Ibaraki highlighted Japan's deep reliance on mathematics in fields ranging from micro-device development to advanced fighter aircraft engineering.

The event was graced by Chairman Shri Vishnu Saran, Principal Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Dean Academics Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Pharmacy Principal Dr. Neeraj Kant Sharma, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Nazim, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Mr. Ajay Chaudhary, along with numerous dignitaries, faculty members, and participants.
