Meerut: Students from MIET Public School, Jagriti Vihar delivered an outstanding performance at the Zone-1 Taekwondo Championship organized by the Meerut Zone-1 Taekwondo Committee on Sunday, July 13, 2025. The event witnessed participation from around 250 students representing various schools across the city.
Under the guidance of coach Rohit Kumar, the students of MIET Public School displayed exceptional skill and sportsmanship. Four students stood out by securing top positions and medals in different categories. Ishant Sharma and Hardik Katira clinched gold medals, while Abhay Tomar and Shivansh Gaur earned silver medals. These achievements came in the under-14 and under-17 categories across different weight divisions.
The school community celebrated the success with pride. Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Principal Dr. Silky Verma, and Senior Coordinator Bulbul Chaudhary congratulated the medalists, lauded their dedication, and extended best wishes for their bright futures. They also acknowledged the role of consistent training and disciplined effort in this commendable accomplishment.
