The keynote address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Tanveer Ikram from Indraprastha Engineering College, who highlighted the growing role of AI in sectors such as education, healthcare, industry, business and transportation. He emphasized that while AI is creating new avenues and employment opportunities, it also brings challenges related to data privacy, ethics and its impact on jobs.
The inaugural ceremony was marked by the lighting of the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswati by MIT Director Prof. (Dr.) K.L.A. Khan, Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) M.I.H. Ansari, Prof. (Dr.) Sunit Shukla and Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Kumar. The dignitaries encouraged students to gain deeper insights into emerging technologies like AI and to harness them for societal benefit.
The lecture was coordinated by Dr. Himanshu Sirohi, Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator, along with Varun Kumar, while Lekhika Prakash conducted the programme. Over 150 students participated enthusiastically and actively engaged in the interactive question–answer session.
The event concluded successfully with special contributions from Prem Kishore Gautam, Amol Sharma, Ayush Singhal, Azad Kumar and Srishti Agarwal.
