Students showcase talent through symposium, contests and cultural performances
Meerut: The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2025 with great fervour. This year’s theme, “Think Health, Think Pharmacist”, set the stage for a series of competitions, cultural activities, and expert lectures highlighting the significance of pharmacy in healthcare and society.
The celebrations featured a wide range of events, including poster presentations, street plays, ad-mad shows, rangoli, singing, dance, photography, and poetry competitions. Students enthusiastically participated, displaying their creativity, awareness, and talent.
Guest speakers Dr. Rajesh Agarwal (General Manager, Modi Mundi Pharma), Dr. Prateek Sharma (Head Academics, Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council), and Poonam Kumari (Clinexel, UK) delivered inspiring talks on the importance of pharmacy, career opportunities in the sector, and responsible drug awareness.
The event was graced by Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Principal Pharmacy Dr. Vipin Kumar Garg, and Dr. Alok Sharma, who motivated students to pursue excellence with dedication in the pharmaceutical field.
