Venkateshwara University Celebrates PM Modi’s 75th Birthday as ‘Seva Pakhwada’ with Mega Social Initiatives


Meerut: Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute, located on the National Highway, marked the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with grandeur by observing Seva Pakhwada (September 17–30). The celebrations featured a mega blood donation camp, tree plantation drive, cleanliness campaign, women empowerment activities, and a cake-cutting ceremony, along with more than a dozen other social and cultural events.

The festivities commenced with students, faculty, and staff donating blood, collecting as many as 117 units to save lives.

Service-Oriented Commitment

University Founder-Chairman Shri Sudhir Giri announced that “on this auspicious occasion, Venkateshwara’s doctors and medical students will spend the year visiting villages to provide free medical treatment, medicines, fruits, and health kits to people.”

A Global Visionary Leader

The inaugural ceremony was conducted by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Krishna Kant Dave, international poetess Madhu Chaturvedi, and Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Suresh Mehta.

Dr. Rajiv Tyagi lauded the Prime Minister as a “path-breaking, charismatic global leader who has placed India at the forefront of the world stage.” Prof. Dave urged everyone to contribute wholeheartedly towards realizing PM Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Calling blood donation a noble act, Dr. Mehta appealed, “Let us mark the Prime Minister’s birthday with such generosity that no life in our country is ever lost due to shortage of blood.”

Cleanliness & Greenery Drive

University officials, faculty, and students also joined hands in a campus-wide cleanliness campaign, echoing the call for Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat. Sacred Rudraksha and Tulsi saplings were planted, with participants pledging to nurture and preserve them lifelong.

The event was graced by Registrar Dr. Piyush Kumar Pandey, Dr. Rajesh Singh, Dr. S.N. Sahu, Dr. Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr. Anna Eric Brown, Dr. Neetu Panwar, Dr. Suman Kumari, Dr. Anjali Bhardwaj, Dr. Arti Gupta, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Dr. Ikram, Dr. S.K. Singh, Dr. Tejpal Singh, Dr. Ashutosh Singh, Dr. Jyoti Singh, Dr. Snehlata Goswami, S.S. Baghel, Arun Goswami, Meerut Campus Director Dr. Pratap Singh, and Media In-charge Vishwas Rana, among others.

The university community pledged to carry forward the spirit of service inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and to dedicate their efforts towards building a developed India by 2047.
